How anonymity works

This tool exists so that anyone at Wingify can ask leadership anything.

When you ask anonymously

Your name and email are never written to the database with your question. The database itself refuses to store them (enforced by a constraint).
Only the day is stored, not the time, so a question can't be matched with the moment someone was online.
The app keeps no access logs of who visited which page.
Your confirmation email contains a private link to follow your question. Only a scrambled (hashed) version of that link is stored, so it can't be traced back to you.
Leadership sees “Anonymous” — in the app and in notification emails.

You sign in with your Wingify Google account so that only colleagues can use the tool. The login itself is known to Google Workspace, but not which question you posted.
The optional confirmation email lands in your Wingify mailbox. If you want zero trace, untick it before posting.
The words you write can identify you. Avoid details that only you would know.
“+1” votes are stored as a scrambled code, only to prevent double-voting.

Public: the question and answer are visible to every colleague.
Private: only the four members of leadership (and you, through your private link) can read it.

Questions can be written in any language. They are automatically translated into English; the original text is always one click away.
